What is PIMS?
Perspective Investment Management Solutions (PIMS) is the specialist service provided by Perspective Financial Management Ltd and Cambridge Investments Ltd (CIL) – part of the Perspective Financial Group – who are responsible for the design and management of bespoke investment management structures.
The PIMS service is a complete investment management solution that provides three distinct choices of Investment Management:
Level 1 - designed for individuals that are relatively new to investing
Level 2 - designed for individuals that have experience in the investment world and require consolidated reporting
Level 3 - designed for individuals that have created wealth and wish to maintain as well as enhance it.
With three levels of investment management, we believe our clients can experience a cradle to grave investment solution. Whether you choose PIMS Level 1, 2 or 3, Perspective advisers from the PIMS Team will ensure that you secure the most appropriate type of investment management.

Perspective Investment Management Solutions (PIMS) delivers what it states – investment management solutions. All of our solutions offer our clients proactive, experienced investment management which is designed to deliver added value within a highly competitive pricing structure.
PIMS provides a simple, defined choice of Investment Management styles, enabling clients to choose a management system that suits current circumstances. The different Levels offer increasing levels of arrangement, supervision and reporting by your PIMS adviser (Levels 1 and 2) leading to additional proactive management and reporting by the CIL members of the PIMS team (Level 3.) All of this is offered with the additional ability to change your level of service if those circumstances change in the future.

As part of the Perspective Financial Group, our clients now have access to the discretionary fund services provided by CIL – PIMS Level 3.
Headed up by Christopher Gough-Goodman (Managing Director) and Maria De Lima (Investment Director), CIL is fully authorised by the Financial Services Authority as a Discretionary Investment Management firm, with a combined experience of over 50 years. CIL has enjoyed a high client retention ratio over many years, focusing on prudent management of family and trust assets.
The service that Christopher’s team will bring to Perspective clients is personal, very active and based on the policy of ‘absolute returns’, which means that the fundamental investment objective will be to maximize returns whilst minimizing the effect of loss. The new service that will be provided by CIL will compliment an enhanced version of Perspectives’ highly successful PIMS service.

The ‘ELEVATION Funds’ are Perspective's exclusive own brand funds, blended to provide a profile which reflects individual investment Risk. Each fund is managed actively and each model portfolio is rebalanced every 6 months as required to ensure performance is consistently delivered.
Access to the ELEVATION funds is available through our PIMS 1 Service. Please see below for more details:
- ELEVATION is Perspective’s own brand label, which denotes investment structures that Perspective have designed in house, and for which we hold a higher level of management control over.
- There are three bespoke ELEVATION funds, each with individual risk profiles – balanced, cautious and international. Each fund sets its own asset allocation policy governed by its risk mandate.
- Each fund is allocated an investment manager by PIMS. The choice is made on the criteria of past performance, access to research, reputation and commitment to deliver service. Each fund manager’s performance is closely monitored by PIMS, which ensures that consistent performance is delivered.
- The ELEVATION funds are fully authorised in the UK by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
